For this Photo-Friday, I’m giving a sort of sneak-peak and suggesting a few ideas on how to use the photos from your photoshoot…
I had the absolute pleasure and honor yesterday of photographing a dear young man’s Bar Mitzvah. So the sneak-peak is of that amazing kid! Mazal tov, Zachary! Everyone is so proud of you!!
As I quickly went through some photos of the atmosphere I thought, this is such a perfect chance to show what can be done with your photos. The family had a photo shoot in the fall, like so many families. They took the time, got their sons coordinated, the schedules of three young men and busy parents, coordinated the outfits, set aside a Saturday during sports and school and prepping for holidays… you all know, this takes effort! And then, maybe you have some holiday cards made, but what else do you do? This family loved their photos, I love them for loving them, and so they asked me to do some wonderful things with them!
First, we designed an elegant Bar Mitzvah folded invitation with one of the handsome photos of Zach on the front, and a small collage on the back. Then, the mom chose about 100 (yep, 100!) of her favorite pics for a custom-designed hardcover guest-signing album. As guests arrived yesterday, they took a moment to pour over the family photos and write kind wishes for the honoree. Then the family ordered several framed 11×14’s. But they set a nice back drop to a gorgeous Bar Mitzvah reception in their home. They will hang them in more places around the home later. Lastly, the dad decided a few days before, to welcome the attendees to their home with a portrait of Zach on an easel at their front door. What a great idea! I had to share!
