I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful little family while in Denmark, Tina and Martin, their adorable daughter Frederikke, and the newest member, a beautiful baby girl…. Continue Reading ->
So, if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen we’ve been in Denmark for the summer. It’s where we are from, it’s where our family is, and where our heart is. I also have a passion for architecture, I studied at USC, and love photographing all of it, from the old to the modern. We’ve been back about a week, and Charlie started school today, so I’m finally taking photos off my camera and checking everything out! Here are a few I found tonight… Continue Reading ->
What better way to spend your 11th birthday than with an all-weekend fest?! Charlie started his 11th-Birthday-Bash-Weekend with a typical Danish breakfast of pastries, breads, and a flag on the table, and waving outside in his honor! Then off to Tivoli to meet the family and have an awesome day of rides, fish and chips lunch, and more treats, and more rides! We did not end it there, the evening held a home-made pizza party, Charlie’s favorite food! Each person made a unique personal pizza to share with everyone (my cousin Lise and I premade the dough). And typical Danish Birthday layer cake for dessert! It was all so fun and delicious!! (The next day was a music festival, but I’ll get to that later! 😉 ) Continue Reading ->
My awesome aunt and uncle recently uprooted from Århus, Denmark, and decided to try life in Rørvig. For those unfamiliar, Århus is the second largest city in Denmark and is situation on the east coast of the peninsula up from Germany, called Jutland. It’s quite a cultural exciting city, my aunt and uncle both architects were heavily involved with the design centers of the city. But now, it’s Rørvig, a tiny slow-paced coastal town on the northern tip of Sjæland, the island on which Copenhagen sits, surrounded by a fjord and the North Sea and Kattegat. It’s beautiful, picturesque, quaint, (cold and windy), and made for postcards! Continue Reading ->
I was so honored to be recently chosen and awarded the 2016 Woman with Vision Woman of the Year Award by Single Moms Planet! We enjoyed a lovely afternoon with high tea at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills on Mother’s Day weekend. Please give Single Moms Planet a look, it is a fantastic national foundation that empowers single mothers across the country through mentorship, training, career building, and family involvement opportunities, while highlighting single mothers whose positive triumphs exemplify achievement through adversity. I am so proud to be part of such an incredible group! Continue Reading ->
Just a little reminiscing of a trip to Århus, Denmark, where my mom spent her teenage years, and where my aunt, uncle and one cousin still live. It’s such a beautiful city, so much scenery with the Marselisborg harbor and the amazing architecture. All of Denmark is famous for the architecture, but Århus seems to claim more than it’s fair share. Århus is definitely in my Top 10 favorite cities over the world, but maybe I’m a little biased! 😉
… And ready to start the week and new month with my new dry erase boards!
I customized a couple for my specific needs. I have felt lately like I’m drowning in post-it notes or trying to remember too many things at once, I inevitably let something slip through the cracks. So here’s what I made… Continue Reading ->
