This is the cutest little Danish cupcake ever! Anna Liv. Her mother and grandmother are also beautiful so it’s not hard to see where she gets it! (And her poor Dad was at work, but he’s not so bad either. He should be cast as Ragnar Lothbrok’s lost brother in Vikings!)
When asked, “What’s the best camera?” one of my favorite photographers always answers, “It’s the one that’s with you!”
That is so true! And these days, who doesn’t carry a smart phone?! I have to say, some of my biggest inspiration comes from Instagram and places where I can take a look at what others see. It has actually taught me alot about composition, coloring, capturing light. The picture is not about the incredibly expensive camera body or fancy lens, it’s about the vision that went into it. So here in LA, it’s graduation week for public schools. Woo-hoo! “No more teachers, no more books…” And summer is here next week!
I was photographing this lovely girl, Maddy, and I thought, it’s so big to finish elementary school. Why not celebrate it the same way we celebrate High School grads?! It’s the end of a big chapter, for the kids and us parents! Here are a few little ideas. You can do something as simple as posting a banner on your Facebook page, or printing some bookmarks, to sending out a few flat cards or these Magazine Pages to grandparents. Congrats Maddy!!
I recently had the pleasure of shooting new headshots for TV Personality and Host, Lisa Germani. You make recognize her face from the TVGuide Network. She is the kindest coolest girl, I kind of feel we are going to be friends. Afterall, we were born one day apart! So here are a few of Lisa’s gorgeous shots!
I keep hearing about Punk. As a kid of the 80’s, I love punk. I can’t remember how many times I was “punked out” for Halloween. I guess that really isn’t a character, but for me, it was my one opportunity to go all out, change my normally preppy cute attire into ripped leggings, unmatched shoes, safety-pinned, faux-leather, and my long untouched locks into stripes of various bright hues. I still love it! You’ve probably seen the latest MAC Cosmetics campaign, Punk Couture. And last night, the Met had their annual Met Gala, themed Punk Chaos to Couture. So I have to show you a recent shoot with TJ, which I themed futuristic punk, channeling something between Bladerunner/80’s punk and the new Sci-Fi “Defiance.”
